Job Summary

Music A&R Representative will play pivotal role in supporting successful production of music and artists

Job Description

  • - Coordinate writing sessions and camps for all artist projects, ensuring smooth execution and tracking related expenses.
  • - Maintain possession of, archive, and organize submitted demos in the system.
  • - Build and nurture strong relationships with writers, producers, and publishers to foster collaboration and trust.
  • - Support broadcasting promotions and concert schedules within the U.S.
  • - Manage all paperwork related to releases, collaborating with producers, writers, publishers, and managers.
  • - Prepare materials and music for various meetings as required.
  • - Track project progress by taking meeting minutes and maintaining clear records.
  • - Manage both domestic and international producers, composers, and songwriters; proactively seek out artists, songwriters, managers, A&R representatives, and attorneys.
  • - Analyze and manage song supply and demand, release dates, budgets, and project schedules.
  • - Handle on-site tasks during concerts and performances as necessary.
  • - Coordinate with external stakeholders including publishers, record labels, artists, producers, and talent managers.
  • - Attend concerts, showcases, and auditions to scout new artists, writers, and bands.
  • - Oversee record coordination, including file management for mixing/mastering and tracking recording budgets.
  • - Handle administrative tasks such as file organization, checklists, expense tracking, invoice processing, and calendar management.
  • - Arrange travel itineraries and studio session schedules for artists.

Qualifications

  • - Bachelor's degree or relevant education
  • - 4-6 years of experience in A&R or music publishing with established networks in the industry
  • - Outstanding communication skills and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external
  • partners such as producers and songwriters
  • - Thorough understanding of the recording process
  • - No restrictions on domestic or international travel
