Job Summary

Job Description

• - Manage the overall operations and administration of the Personal Lines program
• - Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance program efficiency and profitability.
• - Monitor program performance metrics and KPIs to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
• - Participates in / performs activities related to risk selection / rejection, pricing, retention, growth and profitability per divisional objectives.
• - Maintain a high level of customer service.
• - Assess risk quality and compliance within company guidelines and to initiate appropriate loss prevention actions.
• - Develop and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external customers / coworkers in order to attract and retain profitable business.
• - Participates in visiting agents, brokers and producers with a more senior underwriter and learns to retain existing accounts, build and maintain business relationships and develop new opportunities in support of divisional objectives.
• - Interpret, explain and market products and services.
• - Apply underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules and insurance laws and regulations.
• - Successfully completes all coursework / education as assigned.
• - Performs other duties as assigned.
• - Other works that are necessary for business

Qualifications

• - Bachelor's degree and 10 or more years related professional insurance experience
• - Excellent written and oral communication skills
• - Capability to build and maintain positive relationships through teamwork.
• - Limited business travel may be required
• - Must be authorized to work in the United States
