Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist plays a pivotal role in enhancing the employee experience. Your responsibilities will include hiring and welcoming new team members, maintaining benefits and payroll, addressing employee concerns, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and cultivating a positive company culture.

Job Description

  • - Understand and execute the organization’s human resource strategy
  • - Develop and implement personnel procedures and policies
  • - Provide support in the employee hiring process and manage onboarding and offboarding tasks
  • - Manage all employee benefits (group insurance, 401K and others) and ensure timely payroll cycles
  • - Manage all company leave, including STD/LTD and FMLA
  • - Instruct HR policies, benefits, and payroll and answer questions related to them and resolve issues for employees
  • - Respond to unemployment claims and employment verification requests
  • - Organize employee performance reviews
  • - Ensure compliance with local and national labor laws and company policies, as well as local laws of the states where the company conducts business
  • - Maintain employee handbook and policy manual
  • - Develop and implement learning and development programs for employees
  • - Keep employee information up-to-date
  • - Discuss HR-related issues with the HQ in Korea
  • - Manage and coordinate services from third party vendors, such as Bamboo HR and QuickBooks.
  • - Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by senior management

Qualifications

  • - 5+ years of experience in HR, with experience managing employees across multiple states
  • - Bi-lingual in English and Korean
  • - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees.
  • - Experience with Bamboo HR and QuickBooks preferred
  • - Proficiency in Microsoft Office
