Job Summary

The Quality Specialist will work under the general direction of the Quality manager and be responsible for the overall customer quality for the products. The Quality Specialist will assure that the standards are consistently met through production to maintain customer satisfaction.

Job Description

  • - draft quality assurance policies and procedures
  • - Manage certificate of analysis
  • - interpret and implement quality assurance standards
  • - Train QCs and operators
  • - evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards
  • - Have a meeting and discuss with quality and production team
  • - devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data
  • - review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
  • - Review inspection and holding record
  • - Patrol the areas where might have quality issues
  • - plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality
  • - Perform lab experiments (product property test)
  • - document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
  • - investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues
  • - Communicate with customers and investigate about the issue in our and customers’ plant
  • - collect and compile statistical quality data
  • - Review, record, and collect holding roll data and repair log
  • - analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
  • - Investigate areas that might cause some defects on our products
  • - develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions
  • - prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
  • - identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards
  • - coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers
  • - evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • - monitor risk management activities
  • - responsible for document management systems
  • - assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • - Bachelor’s degree required
  • - certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma
  • - quality inspection, auditing and testing experience
  • - experience with implementation of corrective action programs
  • - product or industry-specific experience
  • - strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases
  • - knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA
  • - knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
