Job Summary

Assistant Product Development Manager for JOAH brand is responsible for supporting the Product Manager and manage the cosmetic brand to develop new products, as well as revamping current product lines for the company. He/She will develop strategic plans for current and future product portfolios. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering, prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with vendors to deliver winning products. It also includes working with external departments (Creative, Display, Quality Management, Sales Planning, Sales Administration), as well as internal teams (Sales Coordination) to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Job Description

  • Support and assist the Product Manager for the cosmetic brand
  • Set the target market and develop the positioning strategy for new products to differentiate against competing products in the target segment.
  • Manage product life cycle by modifying the product’s quality and performance, as well as modifying the marketing mix (price, promotion, distribution channel).
  • Responsible for all major and minor defect issues of the current item, and finding a solution
  • Analyze competitive marketplace and industry trends to accordingly develop business strategies for revenue generation.
  • Establish pricing strategies and guidelines for new product development.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to provide engineering, development, management, and sales solutions.
  • Provide support for marketing collateral, advertising materials, marketing campaigns, trade shows, and other promotional activities.
  • Obtain customer feedback and suggest appropriate product revisions.
  • Conduct product training for the sales team.
  • Assist in new product introduction and release activities.
  • Request new product inquiries to vendors including target container, color, formula, and price.
