Job Summary

Our Company is currently experiencing rapid growth and we are seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. The Sr. Accountant will apply accounting principles to prepare financial reports, compile financial statement, analyze financial data, and ensure financial compliance. The Sr. Accountant will also maintain and execute a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, support tax returns, general ledger entries, budgeting, forecasting, and bank reconciliations.

Job Description

  • General Accounting Responsibilities:
  • - Oversee the timely and accurate monthly and year-end financial close process, including general
  • ledger maintenance, transaction recording, and account balance reconciliations.
  • - Prepare and adjust journal entries, ensuring accurate financial statements for properties and during
  • consolidation processes.
  • - Develop, implement, and refine accounting procedures and policies to enhance accuracy,
  • compliance, and efficiency, evaluating current procedures for improvements.
  • - Coordinate with external auditors to ensure successful audit outcomes and regulatory compliance,
  • aiding in the preparation and review of required audit materials.
  • - Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
  • and regulations.
  • - Assist with tax return preparation and compliance, including the preparation of sales/use tax returns
  • and managing provisions for income taxes under U.S. GAAP and other states' statutory rules.
  • - Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reporting systems to support accurate and timely
  • financial statement preparation, including ad hoc reporting requirements.
  • - Document, implement, and maintain internal controls in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
  • (SOX) to safeguard company assets, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance.
  • - Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, implementing
  • necessary updates to practices and policies.
  • - Provide insightful financial analysis to senior management, assisting in decision-making processes.
  • - Lead annual budgeting process, collaborating with senior management to develop detailed financial
  • projections.
  • - Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
  • - Work with our parent company’s Accounts Payable department to manage fund expenses and
  • management expenses.
  • - Forecasts of effective tax rates, cash taxes, etc.
  • - Ability to convert from US GAPP to K-IFRS
  • Fund Responsibilities:
  • - Manage all aspects of the month-end and quarterly financial close process for the fund, ensuring all
  • costs incurred are properly recorded and preparing financial statements and analyses.
  • - Prepare LP capital calls and distributions, overseeing the process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • - Oversee cash management and treasury functions for the fund, including the preparation of wire
  • transfers to portfolio companies and managing fund expenses.
  • - Lead the annual budgeting process for the fund, collaborating with senior management to develop
  • detailed financial projections and strategies.
  • - Maintain accurate and transparent valuation methodologies for portfolio companies, monitoring the
  • fair value measurement process to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • - Manage communication and reporting with the parent company regarding the fund's financial
  • performance, capital calls, and distributions, ensuring clear and effective information exchange.
  • - Coordinate the preparation of the fund's quarterly and annual financial statements, tax return
  • preparation, and other compliance-related filings, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and
  • deadlines.
  • - Collaborate with key cross-functional partners, including deals teams, legal, and finance, on a variety
  • of fund-related projects and initiatives.
  • - Assist in forecasting effective tax rates, cash taxes, and manage the conversion of financial
  • statements from US GAAP to K-IFRS as required.
  • - Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results and undertaking special projects and
  • functions as necessary to support the fund's goals and operations.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Experience: A minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a senior-level accounting
  • Skills/Competencies:
  • - Proven working experience as a Sr. Accountant
  • - Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • - Experience with creating financial statements
  • - Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • - Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • - Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • - Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • - Relates well to others and builds trust.
