Job Description
- - Examine homeowners insurance coverage based on claim reports, insurance
- policies, applicable statutes, and case law to determine the claim's eligibility for
- coverage.
- - Review and verify claim payments and case reserves suggested by our Third-Party
- Claim Administrators (TPAs).
- - Effectuate prompt and accurate payments to claimants and manage expenses with
- our Third-Party Claim Administrator.
- - Contact and provide claim-specific guidance/direction to field adjusters when
- necessary.
- - Select, manage, and communicate with our defense legal counsels.
- - Be vigilant for insurance fraud and implement special procedures if fraud is
- suspected.
- - Successfully interact with co-workers and management.
- - Sorting claim data and analyzing trends, with the potential use of tools such as
- Geographic Hazard Maps.
- - Utilizing advanced statistical methods and tools such as R and Python for
- regression analysis and predictive modeling to analyze claim trends.
- - Perform additional duties as assigned by the company
Qualifications
- - Bilingual in Korean and English (Both Written and Spoken).
- - Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- - Bachelor’s degree in Law, Data Science, or a related field (More than 2 years of
- industry experience in (re)insurance companies, Claim TPAs, or U/W agencies is highly desirable.)
- - Highly motivated, active, and precise personality
