About Our Client

• Korea's largest privately-owned liquefied natural gas (LNG player) with globally integrated value chain from upstream natural gas field to midstream LNG regasification terminal and LNG carriers and to downstream city gas distribution, power generation, and district heating cogeneration businesses in Korea
• In addition to the strong LNG value chain, the company invests mainly in four growth sectors: Renewables, Energy Solution, Hydrogen and Clean LNG with carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technology.

Job Summary

Job Description

• - Responsibility for performing market analysis to support the Commercial function ranging from Global LNG to National (US) and regional (State) levels
• - Development of fundamental analysis around the natural gas, LNG, and electric energy and capacity markets
• - Present forecasting reports, data, and information on trends in a format that is useful and easily understood. Additionally, use the information gathered and knowledge of the industry to make recommendations as needed.
• - Produce daily/weekly/period reports of market pricing and fundamental market drivers for Commercial staff and management consumption
• - Support the development of fundamental trading strategies and recommended risk- adjusted trading and hedging strategies for Commercial staff
• - Support the Commercial function more broadly through the performance of ad hoc fundamental analysis and data retrieval
• - Perform various sensitivity and scenario analyses on current and potential transactions
• - Assist other departments overall Energy Trading and Risk Management system input
• - Run M2M reports and monitor financial positions
• - Develop P&L reporting procedures
• - Assist with power procurement
• - Other related projects, task and duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• - Relevant degree : Business or Finance preferred (0~2 years of working experience in energy industry)
• - Strong and effective communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) with individuals and groups from different disciplines and countries
• - Skillfully and diplomatically manage potentially contentious situations
• - Team play is important
• - Ability to work well in a small team environment
• - Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• - Ability to multi-task and prioritize time sensitive work
• - Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• - Advanced knowledge of MS Office
• - Fluency in English required (Business-level Korean is preferred)
