Job Summary

Perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The accounting manager's responsibilities include reviewing AR/AP entries and production recording done by bookkeepers, performing monthly closing of the books, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, tax return preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

Job Description

  • To be successful as an accounting manager, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding Accounting Manager should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure.
  • Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts
  • Manage and maintain production and FG inventory process and valuation
  • Monitor and maintain CAPEX development spend against the plan
  • Review AR/AP and post the entries
  • Manage and support bookkeepers for their daily activities
  • Supporting business financial needs on all the Evterra locations (Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas, and San Antonio)
  • Assisting with annual audit preparations.
  • Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
  • Preparing/assisting for preparation of federal, state, local, and special tax returns.
  • Contributing to the development of new accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  • Coordinating accounting functions and programs with different departments.
  • Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
  • Assisting with monitoring budgets.
  • Preparing financial analyses and reports.
  • Performing other accounting duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
  • CPA is a highly preferred
  • 10+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong manufacturing/inventory/CAPEX background
  • Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
  • Strong reconciliation skills, and financial analysis skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and stress management skills.
  • Strong sense of professionalism and accountability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
  • Knowledge and experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is a plus
  • Frequent domestic travels
  • Ability to train and manage staff.
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision.
