Job Summary

  • As a group leader, has to know the overall work process of equipment purchasing work. (Material cost/inventory/KPI/payment/mass production and equipment purchase etc.) and how to use related systems.
  • Business trips for Samsung SDI HQ in Korea and Hungary Plant for training, need for continuous collaboration with Korean/Hungary Plant personnel. Set group KPIs and goals and manage the progress of group work so that the group can achieve KPIs. In addition, it approves and manages KPI goals for each group members. Conduct interviews and evaluations for group recruitment, and consult with HR so that group member can be hired within the schedule. Manage group members so that they can perform tasks quickly through training. Manages the group organization and give guides for efficient work directions. through time and attendance management, interviews, and evaluation of group members. Identify problems in group work and make an effort to improve/resolve them. When an emergency issue occurs, report it and work together with the relevant personnel to resolve the issue. Reports to the CPO on a regular basis (weekly/monthly) on group work, and immediately reports in case of emergency. Operate CPO-led meetings, disseminate CPO instructions to relevant departments, and manage schedules to achieve within schedule. When the CPO is absent (business trip, etc.), manages the purchasing team on behalf of the CPO and serves as an external window.

Job Description

  • ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • -Directs production and inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage.
  • -Directs production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts.
  • -Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines.
  • -Establishes procedures for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory.
  • - Coordinates activities with other departments to assure proper delivery, quality, reliability, and low cost consistency.
  • - Documents and maintains necessary records and files. May work with agents and customs brokers for overseas material buying.
  • - Select and contract with a customs clearance agency
  • - Prepares weekly/monthly reports including the performance, inventory, and issues of each group of the purchasing team and reports them to the CEO and CPO
  • - Communicate with Samsung SDI/STLA headquarters and related departments of SPE and respond to requested data.
  • - Compare SPE's budget target and purchase performance, and manage to achieve the target.
  • - Manages and updates the organization and job description of the entire purchasing team.
  • - Develops and/or assists in developing strategies and solutions to continuously improve cost levels, stable sources of supply, high quality of commodities and other governing factors related to the Purchasing Department and adjacent areas.
  • - Works with necessary departments to minimize costs and maximize efficiency of purchasing function.
  • - Studies market trends and systems technology related to job.
  • - Timely execution of processing approved purchase requests into purchase orders and transmitting purchase orders to suppliers.
  • - Resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders when needed.
  • - Maintain Supplier Performance Rating System in MRP system. Process scorecard on a monthly basis and input feedback from quarterly commodity strategy meetings..
  • - Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
