About Our Client

• Korea's largest privately-owned liquefied natural gas (LNG player) with globally integrated value chain from upstream natural gas field to midstream LNG regasification terminal and LNG carriers and to downstream city gas distribution, power generation, and district heating cogeneration businesses in Korea
• In addition to the strong LNG value chain, the company invests mainly in four growth sectors: Renewables, Energy Solution, Hydrogen and Clean LNG with carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technology.

Job Summary

Job Description

• - Perform general accounting duties for multiple entities in shared services environment
• - Prepare the consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS
• - Manage journal entries, invoices, etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing for the company, its subsidiaries, and the HQ, including but not limited to IFRS conversion and purchase price allocation where needed
• - Ensure compliance with official guidelines and requirements and develop/manage accounting policies and procedures
• - Review financial results, prepare variance analysis and related explanation as necessary
• - Coordinate with external auditors to prepare audited financial statements
• - Assist to report financial information to HQ
• - Utilize accounting IT system including SAP to facilitate processes and maintain records
• - Implement internal accounting control protocol for the company, its subsidiaries, and the HQ and undergo a related audit to comply with the Korean SOX regulation
• - Monitor the ongoing execution of the Company’s Sox compliance program
• - Assist and prepare local, state, and federal level tax returns, tax-related schedules, and reports
• - Support most aspects of accounting & tax management (billing, tax forms, reporting, etc.)
• - Communicate and coordinate with all required internal departments
• - Other related tasks and duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• - Bachelor or master’s degree with a major in accounting or relevant experience is required (a minimum 5 years of relevant experience)
• - Accounting knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS is required
• - Experience in an ERP environment such as SAP proficiency is a plus, but not required
• - Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills required
• - CPA is a plus and big four experience preferred
• - Strong and effective communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) with individuals and groups from different departments, entities, and countries
• - Ability to multi-task and prioritize time-sensitive work
• - Ability to manage team member and work well in a small team environment
• - Fluency in English and Korean required
