About Our Client

Job Summary

  • As a group leader, he have to know the overall work process of equipment purchasing work
  • (supply selection, price determination, PO placing, schedule management, customs clearance/warehousing, payment,
  • etc.) and how to use related systems. Set group KPIs and goals and manage the progress of group work so that the group can achieve KPIs. In addition, it approves and manages KPI goals for each group members. Conduct interviews and evaluations for group recruitment, and consult with HR so that group member can be hired within the schedule.
  • Manage group members so that they can perform tasks quickly through training. Manages the group organization and give guides for efficient work directions through time and attendance management, interviews, and evaluation of group members Identify problems in group work and make an effort to improve/resolve them. When an emergency issue occurs, report it and work together with the relevant personnel to resolve the issue. Reports to the CPO on a regular basis (weekly/monthly) on group work, and immediately reports in case of emergency.

Job Description

  • ? Purchases equipment, MRO and services by developing, soliciting, and analyzing supplier quotations.
  • ? Coordinates activities with other departments to assure proper delivery, quality, reliability, and low cost consistency.
  • ? Documents and maintains necessary records and files. May work with agents and customs brokers for overseas material buying.
  • ? Locates new sources of supply, establishes new suppliers and coordinates order maintenance with existing suppliers. Selects and/or recommends suppliers with who orders will be placed. Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers.
  • ? Resolves conflicts that arise with supplier delivery schedules, raw materials, inventory, etc. working with Production Inventory Control (PIC) personnel and other areas to resolve escalated conflicts. Assumes ultimate responsibility to ensure suppliers deliver quality product on time.
  • ? Develops and/or assists in developing strategies and solutions to continuously improve cost levels, stable sources of supply, high quality of commodities and other governing factors related to the Purchasing Department and adjacent areas.
  • ? Participates in continuous improvement activities that may include developing programs to improve supplier performance. Tracks supplier performance and works with suppliers to continuously improve quality, delivery, cost, productivity and support.
  • ? Develops cost database detailing all material, labor, and overhead costs of purchased products and services.
  • ? Works with necessary departments to minimize costs and maximize efficiency of purchasing function.
  • ? Studies market trends and systems technology related to job.
  • ? Researches and recommends new product developments.
  • ? Timely execution of processing approved purchase requests into purchase orders and transmitting purchase orders to suppliers.
  • ? Resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders when needed.
  • ? Transmit MRO orders in MRP system and send to suppliers.
  • ? Quote MRO items / analyze quotes based on pricing, value, and timing.
  • ? Negotiate pricing and payment terms with suppliers.
  • ? Develops cost database detailing all material, labor, overhead costs of purchased products an services.

Qualifications

  • ? Bachelor's degree
  • ? Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar position, with strong foundation in project management.
  • ? Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • ? Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various level of employees within all areas of the organization including hourly employees to Senior Leadership
  • ? Ability to build effective cross functional relationships internally and externally
  • ? Demonstrated technical problem-solving ability
  • ? Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead teams
  • ? Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • ? Ability to work overtime as required
  • PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • ? Bachelor's degree
  • ? Prefer Bilingual English / Korean
  • ? Extensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access or other database applications
  • ? Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation.
  • ? Critical thinking and an analytical mindset.
  • ? Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goal.
