About Our Client

Job Summary

The Supplier Quality Management (SQM) Director is responsible for managing Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Group and Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Group. The SQM director will lead all supplier quality assurance and incoming material inspection activities at an organizational and corporate level. The SQM Director will develop structural framework to manage supplier part quality at strategic level. Additionally, the SQM director will create a process to qualify strategic supplier partners with respect to world class process and quality. Develop and provide executive updates on key supplier performance indicators. The SQM director will be responsible communicating all strategic goals and objectives for all material and service supplier partners. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following.

Job Description

  • ? Develop training curriculum for all SQA and IQC activities
  • ? Establish business / organizational Key Process Indicators (KPI) and define critical Key Action Indicators (KAI) to support successful fulfillment of KPIs
  • ? Develop processes to ensure successful completion of QPA (Quality Process Audit) and Production Part Approval Process activities of all suppliers
  • ? Develop methodology to track supplier performance indicators such as Nonconforming material delivery and other production interruption events
  • ? Lead investigation and root cause analysis of non-conformances. Ensure continuous monitoring of all corrective actions and process improvement measures
  • ? Conduct reviews of supplier’s product specifications, outgoing quality processes, and ensure adherence of all lesson learned activities
  • ? Lead continues improvement activity to optimize supplier partner performance
  • ? Develop, implement, and monitor efficacy of corrective and preventive actions
  • ? Prepare updates and reports of quality outcome to communicate quality activities
  • ? Provide management updates regularly
  • ? Facilitate reviews to eliminate internal systemic and external roadblocks. Collaborate with management on team road map and strategy
  • ? Work closely with key stakeholders to provide delivery according to schedule
  • ? Manage multiple priorities and deliver internal and external results on time
  • ? Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve the performance of incoming material quality

Qualifications

  • ? Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent. (Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechatronics may also be considered with technical industry experience)
  • ? Minimum of 10 years of managerial experience with strong foundation in quality systems and supplier quality management
  • ? Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • ? Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various level of employees within all areas of the organization including hourly employees to Senior Leadership
  • ? Ability to build effective cross functional relationships internally and externally
  • ? Demonstrated ability of managing highly skilled / technical problem-solving teams
  • ? Demonstrated ability to manage and succeed at a strategic and corporate level
  • ? Ability to coach / mentor / develop management level personnel to ensure top performance
  • ? Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • ? Bilingual English / Korean
  • ? Master's degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering
  • ? Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing
  • ? Six Sigma Black Belt / Shainin Red X Certification
  • ? Experience with the AIAG Advanced Quality Planning and Control Plans, FMEA, Production Part Approval Process, MSA, and SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  • ? Experience with quality certification and system such as ISO9001/IATF16949 is required
  • ? Familiar with World Class Manufacturing pillar methodology and implementation
  • ? Extensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access or other database applications
  • ? Good working knowledge of Google Suite software programs
  • ? ASQ Certification in Quality and Reliability
