Job Summary

  • Process engineering manager is in charge of designing and implementing manufacturing processes, plants, and equipment within their field. They are primarily responsible for ensuring continual improvement related to process, cost, production and overall quality of the products. And they are primarily responsible for guiding and managing other engineers within the field and evaluating their performance. This person must should possess excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and technical skills within their field. This position typically requires decision-making, team-building, and leadership abilities; a process engineering manager should also stay up-to-date on the latest developments within their field. This person should be comfortable designing and testing prototypes and supervising other engineers and employees. Manager must have effective communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization to communicate and resolve process issues in a timely manner. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following.
  • The Job of Electrode Technology Engineer is to develop and optimize the electrode process to improve quality/productivity and sustainability of EV battery production through high level of technical knowledge. This requires defect reduction activity; critical thinking; coming up with improvement action item through product analysis; and managing short/long term project. In this role you will be supporting the Mixing, Coating and Slitting part of the manufacturing process.

Job Description

  • ? Conduct training for Electrode Process Engineers
  • ? Organizing, controlling and supervising subordinates. Completing tasks relative to the job, ensuring that the work processes meet the standards that are expected in a timely manner
  • ? Lead investigations and cause analysis of defect occurrences. Enforcement of all improvement measures and continuous monitoring role
  • ? Review and update product specifications, process standards, manuals, learning activities
  • ? Keeping in contact and cooperating with the company's departments to ensure that customer needs are fulfilled.
  • ? Continues improvement activity to optimize and enhance the efficiency of quality and Process systems
  • ? Creating the necessary reports and analysations for the direct superior or other departments to provide up to date informations.
  • ? Engineering analysiation of deficient products, creating ?abnormality” reports, and taking the necessary measures.
  • ? Monitoring the production process according to the key parameters, supporting production and improving production efficiency.
  • ? Driving and monitoring KPI to accomplish the goals of STARPLUS.
  • ? Any other task what is given by the employee’s superior and requires similiar skills and competence.
  • ? Quality assurance, EHS duties and responsibilities
  • ? Keeping the work area clean and well organized, following safety rules on work safety tools, and proper usage of personal safety equipments.
  • ? All employees are required to follow the quality and technological instructions within the work area.

Qualifications

  • ? Bachelor's degree in chemistry/chemical engineering, material/metal, fiber/polymer, machinery, electrical/electronic (H/W), industrial engineering, mathematics, physics, and relevant experience.
  • ? Minimum of 5 years of industrial automation and controls experience with strong foundation in project management.
  • ? Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • ? Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various level of employees within all areas of the organization including hourly employees to Senior Leadership
  • ? Ability to build effective cross functional relationships internally and externally
  • ? Demonstrated technical problem-solving ability
  • ? Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead teams
  • ? Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • ? Ability to work overtime as required
  • PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • ? Bilingual English / Korean
  • ? Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Chemical or Industrial or Material Engineering
  • ? Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing
  • ? Familiar with World Class Manufacturing pillar methodology and implementation
  • ? Extensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access or other database applications
  • ? Experience with or knowledge of large production lines, PFMEAs, and process controls is a plus.
  • ? Knowledge of Time Studies, Line Balancing, Lean Manufacturing, Bottleneck Analysis.
  • ? Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation.
  • ? Critical thinking and an analytical mindset.
  • ? Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goal.
