Job Summary
Sourcing and Sales of Food Ingredients for Export
Job Description
- 1. Develop domestic food and ingredient suppliers in accordance with the requirements of the South Korean head office; independently identify high-quality new products and recommend them to South Korean clients;
- 2. Be responsible for business liaison between China and South Korea, including requesting quotations from suppliers, negotiating prices, drafting procurement contracts, and conducting quotation negotiations with South Korean clients;
- 3. Coordinate sample approval and monitor suppliers’ mass production progress, quality and delivery times;
- 4. Manage the entire export process: prepare documentation, book shipping space and schedules, and compile customs clearance documents to ensure the smooth export and delivery of goods to South Korea;
- 5. Maintain liaison with the South Korean head office, handle various issues relating to orders, production, logistics and customs clearance, and maintain business and supplier records;
- 6. Manage the entire process from procurement to export sales, including supply chain monitoring;
- 7. Meet export sales performance targets.
Qualifications
- □ Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a degree in a subject related to international trade
- □ At least 5 years’ experience in export-related roles, including at least 3 years’ experience in food industry exports
- □ Familiarity with supplier development, export documentation, booking and customs clearance procedures; knowledge of South Korean food customs clearance standards
- □ Relevant experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector may also be considered
- □ Proficiency in Korean, to be used as a working language (spoken and written)
- □ Proficiency in Japanese and English would be an advantage
