Ensure full compliance with Thai tax regulations (VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax) and Bank of Thailand (BOT) foreign exchange regulations.
Job Description
- - Oversee full-spectrum accounting and finance operations for the Thai shipping agency branch.
- - Manage freight billing, Disbursement Accounts (D/A), freight collections, and remitting funds to the HQ in Korea.
- - Ensure full compliance with Thai tax regulations (VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax) and Bank of Thailand (BOT) foreign exchange regulations.
- - Perform monthly/quarterly/annual financial closing and prepare reports for management and HQ.
- - Liaise with external legal auditors, tax authorities, banks, and government agencies.
- - Supervise and guide junior accounting/billing staff.
Qualifications
- - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
- - 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2?3 years in managerial roles within the Shipping Line, Shipping Agency, or Freight Forwarding industry.
- - CPD (Continuing Professional Development) License is strictly required (CPA is a strong plus).
- - Strong knowledge of Thai tax laws, Revenue Code, and international trade accounting standards.
- - Good command of spoken and written English for HQ reporting and internal communication.
- - Proficient in accounting software/ERP (e.g., SAP, Express, or Shipping-specific ERPs).
