Job Summary

  • The IT Senior Consultant serves as the Head of the IT Department and Regional IT Manager , overseeing IT operations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. This role is accountable for strategic IT planning, infrastructure and security operations, MES system support, new plant IT implementation, financial oversight of IT investments and
  • maintenance budgets, and guiding the performance and development of all IT team members. The
  • position ensures compliance with global standards, drives operational excellence, and regularly reports
  • to the General Manager and HQ IT

Job Description

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to
  • perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
  • 1. Regional IT Strategy & Governance:
  • - Develop and execute regional IT strategies aligned with global headquarters’ vision.
  • - Establish governance frameworks, operational policies, and KPIs for IT performance and
  • security.
  • - Ensure IT operations meet regulatory and compliance requirements (GDPR, SOX, PCI-DSS, etc.).
  • 2. Budget Management & Financial Oversight:
  • - Review and manage IT investment and maintenance budgets for the region.
  • - Monitor cost efficiency and optimize resource allocation across IT projects and operations.
  • - Provide financial reports and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
  • 3. Team Leadership & Guidance:
  • - Direct and manage IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Site Reliability, and IT Analyst teams.
  • - Assess team performance and provide guidance to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • - Mentor and coach team members to enhance technical expertise and leadership capabilities.
  • - Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • 4. Regional IT Operations:
  • - Operate and maintain regional IT infrastructure and security systems to ensure high availability
  • and compliance. Oversee network, server, storage, and cloud environments for optimal performance.
  • - Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures to protect corporate assets.
  • 5. MES System Support
  • - Ensure full operational support for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • - Coordinate troubleshooting, performance optimization, and integration with ERP and other
  • enterprise systems.
  • - Oversee MES backup, disaster recovery, and patch management processes.
  • 6. New Plant IT Implementation
  • - Plan, design, and deploy IT systems for new plant setups, including network, servers, and
  • security architecture.
  • - Ensure timely delivery and compliance with global standards and local regulations.
  • 7. Incident & Activity Reporting
  • - Regularly report operational activities, system performance, and security incidents to the
  • General Manager and HQ IT.
  • - Maintain accurate documentation for audits, compliance, and governance reviews.
  • 8. Risk Management & Compliance
  • - Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for IT infrastructure and
  • security.
  • - Maintain and update risk registers and ensure closure of outstanding issues.
  • 9. Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
  • - Act as the primary liaison between regional IT and global headquarters.
  • - Manage relationships with Hyundai AutoEver and other strategic IT partners.
  • - Communicate IT performance, risks, and initiatives to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability
  • required and preferred for this position.)
  • Required Education & Experience:
  • - A master’s degree is required, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science,
  • Information Systems, or Business Administration (MBA with a technology concentration).
  • - 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including consulting, enterprise IT planning, solution
  • architecture, or digital transformation leadership.
  • - 5+ years in a senior or lead consulting role, advising executive stakeholders and driving
  • large-scale technology initiatives.
  • - Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide IT strategy, including cloud
  • transformation, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity enhancement, or ERP/CRM
  • integration.
  • - Proven track record of managing complex, multi-departmental IT projects, including
  • requirements gathering, roadmap creation, technology evaluation, and implementation
  • oversight.
  • Experience working in or consulting for large corporate environments or global enterprises,
  • ideally across multiple business units or regions.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • - Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-oriented
  • recommendations for executives and non-technical stakeholders.
  • - In-depth understanding of enterprise IT domains, such as:
  • - Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • - Networking and infrastructure
  • - Enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, collaboration systems)
  • - IT service management (ITSM/ITIL)
  • - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate current-state
  • environments and define strategic roadmaps.
  • - Demonstrated experience conducting technology assessments, gap analyses, cost/benefit
  • analyses, and solution architecture reviews.
  • - Familiarity with key IT frameworks and methodologies such as ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF, Agile,
  • and DevOps.
  • - Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, prioritize competing business needs, and drive
  • consensus across diverse teams.
  • - Excellent documentation skills, including the creation of technical specifications,
  • executive briefings, process documentation, and architectural diagrams.
  • - Strong interpersonal skills with a consultative, customer-centric mindset.
  • Preferred Education & Experience:
  • - Master’s degree in information technology, Business Administration (MBA with IT
  • concentration), Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • - Professional certifications such as:
  • - ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2
  • - TOGAF or other architecture certifications
  • - Cloud certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud
  • Professional)
  • - Experience consulting within large enterprise environments or global organizations.
  • - Bilingual ability (e.g., English and Korean) highly preferred for cross-regional collaboration.
  • - Industry-specific consulting experience (automotive, manufacturing, finance, or
  • technology sectors)
