  • This plant plays a crucial role in producing key automotive components such as chassis, cockpit, and front-end modules. These components are essential for vehicle assembly and contribute significantly to the overall production process of vehicles. The plant's operations involve advanced manufacturing techniques and adhere to high-quality standards to ensure the reliability and performance of the automotive parts they produce.

Job Summary

  • The Manager, IT Infrastructure and Security leads the planning, implementation, and day-to-day
  • management of plant-wide IT infrastructure and security operations. This role assists in initiatives that
  • enable production, compliance while providing guidance to a small IT team at the site. The position
  • contributes to annual IT plans and budgets aligned with operational goals.

Job Description

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform
  • each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
  • 1. IT Infrastructure and Security Operation:
  • Manage IT infrastructure and security, including desktop, server, storage, backup, UPS,
  • LAN/WAN, switches, and data center facilities
  • Monitor system availability, performance, and backup status of IT infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems promptly to minimize
  • downtime
  • Assist complex and/or urgent MES IT infrastructure tasks
  • Maintain corporate security measures across all IT infrastructure in collaboration with the IT
  • Security team
  • Conduct procurement of IT infrastructure assets
  • Perform regular disaster recovery and failover testing with relevant parties
  • 2. IT Help Desk and Deskside support:
  • Oversee daily operations of the IT help desk and deskside support functions for user PCs
  • Supervise the IT technician to ensure consistent and high-quality deskside support services
  • Coordinate and improve onboarding process for new employees
  • Maintain and deploy standardized PC images to ensure consistency and efficiency across devices
  • Design and improve IT orientation and training material
  • 3. IT Infrastructure and Security Project Management:
  • Plan and oversee infrastructure expansion and upgrade initiatives to support company growth
  • Coordinate infrastructure/security projects with global headquarters and partner project teams
  • to ensure alignment and timely delivery
  • Establish and manage system backup strategies and disaster recovery procedures to maintain
  • data integrity and business continuity
  • 4. Vendor Management:
  • Manage the performance of external IT service partners, covering service desk, desktop, server,
  • storage, and network/security system support
  • Collaborate with server, storage, and network equipment vendors to coordinate incident
  • resolution and escalations
  • 5. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to safeguard the company's infrastructure and
  • data
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including infrastructure configurations,
  • network diagrams, operational procedures, and asset inventories; conduct regular audits to
  • ensure compliance
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on system performance, security incidents, and infrastructure
  • upgrades
  • Provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements and cost optimization
  • 6. Team Leadership:
  • Manage IT specialist and security personnel while providing guidance, training, and support to
  • ensure the successful implementation and operation of IT and Security technology.

Qualifications

  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or
  • ability required and preferred for this position.)
  • Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Infrastructure or Security Engineer or similar role in a corporate
  • environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • 2+ years of experience as an IT Infrastructure or Security project manager or similar role in a
  • corporate environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • 2 years or more of experience in people management
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive experience in managing internal and external customer demands
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure/security architecture, components, and protocols for
  • server, storage, and network equipment
  • Strong experience with end-user computing environments, including Microsoft 365 and MECM
  • Thorough understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, principles, and industry best practices
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting abilities
  • Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Bilingual speaker (English and Korean) is a plus
