Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT System Manager to join IT team. This role is
  • responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Manufacturing Execution System
  • (MES) within our manufacturing facilities. The IT System Manager will collaborate with cross-functional
  • teams to analyze production processes, configure MES software, and provide technical expertise to
  • optimize manufacturing operations. This position requires strong understanding of manufacturing
  • systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency in MES software and related technologies.

Job Description

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each
  • essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
  • 1. MES System Design and Configuration:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design MES solutions that
  • align with manufacturing process needs and business objectives.
  • Configure and customize MES software to meet specific manufacturing requirements, including
  • process workflows, data collection, and reporting functionalities.
  • Conduct testing and validation of MES systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • 2. System Implementation and Integration:
  • Lead the implementation and deployment of MES systems in manufacturing facilities, working
  • closely with project teams to ensure successful delivery within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and contractors, to
  • integrate MES systems with other manufacturing systems, such as ERP, SCADA, and PLCs.
  • Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues during implementation
  • and integration phases.
  • 3. System Maintenance and Support:
  • Monitor the performance and availability of MES systems, proactively identifying and resolving
  • issues to minimize downtime and disruptions to production operations.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting system errors, and guiding them in
  • utilizing MES functionalities effectively.
  • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure and Security teams to manage system upgrades, patches, and
  • security enhancements.
  • 4. Process Optimization:
  • Analyze manufacturing processes, data, and workflows to identify opportunities for process
  • optimization and efficiency improvement using the MES system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, including
  • automation of manual tasks, reduction of cycle times, and enhancement of production
  • workflows through the utilization of MES functionalities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing data analysis and insights to drive
  • informed decision-making.
  • 5. Documentation and Training:
  • Create and maintain documentation, including system configuration, procedures, and
  • troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on utilizing MES functionalities, ensuring proper
  • system usage and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • 6. Team Leadership:
  • Manage MES operator, engineer and developer while providing guidance, training, and support
  • to ensure the successful implementation and operation of MES technology.

Qualifications

  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability
  • required and preferred for this position.)
  • Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 years or more of Experience in MES management
  • 2 years or more of Experience in people management
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of production process and related systems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Improvement of MES system and development of user's requirement
  • Experience in performance optimization for system and Microsoft SQL Database
  • Programming language skill: C#, .NET, MS-SQL, JAVA
  • Design and development of Interface program for equipment automation
  • Knowledge of strategic, conceptual, and consultative process
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, people-management, leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills
  • Collaborating and communicating skill with other departments
  • Preferred Education & Experience:
  • - Bilingual speaker (English and Korean) is a plus.
  • Automotive industry experience.
