Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, performance, and growth of the company. The CFO will partner closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leaders to drive financial planning, ensure sustainable growth, and safeguard the organization’s assets. This role requires a strategic thinker who is also hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Job Description
- Financial Strategy & Planning
- o Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals.
- o Lead long-term financial forecasting, budgeting, and modeling.
- o Provide data-driven insights to support business decisions and growth opportunities.
- - Financial Management & Reporting
- o Oversee accounting, finance, tax, treasury, and audit functions.
- o Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- o Present financial results and forecasts to the CEO, executive team, and Board.
- - Operational & Risk Management
- o Implement strong internal controls and compliance systems.
- o Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital requirements.
- o Evaluate and manage risks, investments, and potential acquisitions.
- - Leadership & Team Development
- o Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
- o Build cross-functional relationships with operations, sales, and other departments.
- o Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred).
- - 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role.
- - Proven track record in strategic financial planning, capital raising, and risk management.
- - Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- - Experience in [insert industry, e.g., healthcare, SaaS, manufacturing] preferred.
- - Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
