Job Summary

The Credit Manager will direct all activities of Credit Team. The candidate will ensure that all policies and procedures are followed by each member of Credit Team. The candidate’s prime objectives are to eliminate bad debt and reduce delinquency while maximizing sales to the extent possible. The Credit Manager will ensure the competency of the Credit Team staff through ongoing training and mentoring. Actions taken will serve to drive both enhanced performance and continuous improvement for Credit Team.

Job Description

  • - Oversight of all Credit Team employees to ensure productivity and performance
  • - Support Corporate Credit Director, CFO, and Korean HQ on Credit Team matters.
  • - Ensure timely collection of the company receivables using all appropriate methods to drive a reduction in past due balances, reduce turn-days closer to agreed-upon payment terms, and eliminate bad debt.
  • - Administer customer credit lines and terms review and provide recommended opinion for director's decisions
  • - Mentor all Credit Team employees to ensure continuous learning and improve performance.
  • - Ensure continuous process improvement and enhancement.
  • - Seek creative solutions to achieve the dual mandate of bad debt elimination and sales growth.
  • - Maintain direct involvement in high-profile or problematic customer accounts where necessary.
  • - Serve as the point-of-contact for company executives for issues related to Credit Team.
  • - Ensure compliance with all the company policies and take corrective action when required.
  • - Serve as the knowledge resource for all accounts receivable, cash application, and credit issues.
  • - Ensure cash application tasks are completed in timely manner.
  • - Periodic (daily/weekly/monthly) reports and analysis generated related to Credit Team

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential role and responsibility. Listed below are the minimum and/or desired requirements of the position including education, work experience, knowledge, and skills.
  • Education and Work Experience:
  • - Bilingual in Korean and English
  • - 4-year college degree, bachelor’s or the equivalent in a business-related discipline.
  • - At least three plus years of progressive management responsibility leading the credit and collections function.
  • - SAP or equivalent ERP system experience.
  • - Construction industry experience preferred, with a complete understanding required of lien laws, Miller Act, and familiarity with both General contractors and tier contractors.
