Job Summary

Investigate, analyze, and resolve company quality problems by conducting internal quality audits, analyzing defect trends, and leading continuous improvement projects regarding Hanwha QMS and customer requirements. Maintain QMS and Document Control System ISOX. Reports daily any quality concerns to Plant Manager and Hanwha Advanced Materials America Management.

Job Description

  • - On-going management of Quality Management System, processes, and procedures in ISOX software.
  • - Assist with Quality Management Review Reports about Hanwha QMS for Hanwha Management.
  • - Ensures Hanwha Quality Processes are followed, and Quality Policy is adhered to throughout the manufacturing plant.
  • - Assist with IATF 16949 surveillance and re-certification audits.
  • - Enforces compliance with internal procedures to ensure that established quality and process procedures are being always followed by the appropriate personnel.
  • - Plans and conducts and maintain internal quality audits (QMS, Process and Product audits).
  • - Coordinates, evaluates, and assists in developing action plans and follow up of quality issues and internal audit findings.
  • - Supports Internal Auditors.
  • - Assists client-initiated audits. Responds to and develops with Hanwha Team CAPAs for audit findings. Ensures that CAPAs are closed out in a timely manner and resolved to customer’s satisfaction.
  • - Performs Quality Audits at the company’s critical suppliers/vendors.
  • - Trains Hanwha Team Members about Hanwha IATF 16949 QMS, Automotive Core Tools, ISOX Document Control Software.
  • - Maintains and schedules trainings for Quality Team.
  • - Manages Change Controls and administers Change Control system in ISOX software.
  • - Collects and maintains Periodical Testing Reports
  • - Collects and maintains records of approved PPAP at customers and suppliers.
  • - Responsible for maintaining and acquiring countermeasures from suppliers and maintains received records in ISOX system.
  • - Responsible for maintaining and acquiring countermeasures from Hanwha Quality Team referred to customer complaints and maintains records in ISOX system.
  • - Acts as quality approver for documents requiring approval from a Quality site.
  • - Ensures that appropriate records are properly controlled. Manages the proper storage and filing of Quality System and Quality Department controlled documents.
  • - Leads or supports investigations of production/quality problems with manufactured products.
  • - Supports Quality Team during customer’s complaints if necessary.
  • - Supports CA Team with preparation answers to customers with 8D Reports and Corrective Actions. Participates in CA Team. Helps with investigation and problem solving through root cause analysis for internal and external quality concerns with focus on permanent corrective actions.
  • - Designs and develops forms and instructions and quality documents for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • - Keeps clean working environment following up 5S philosophy.
  • - Assist Operations Manager in delegations of duties regarding Team members.
  • - Assist in Team member interaction.
  • - Perform and maintain monthly DMR and supplier chargebacks of non-conforming product.
  • - Maintain and update incoming inspection logs to conform to IATF-16949 and customer requirements.
  • - Facilitate the testing of incoming supplier material as required in ISIR, PPAP, and customer agreements.
  • - Conduct supplier audits in accordance with audit schedule to drive process standardization, waste elimination and continuous improvements.
  • - Conduct training on inspection and measurement techniques.
  • - Conduct investigations per the Plant Manager.
  • - Travel to supplier’s location (domestic and overseas) to resolve quality issues if necessary.
  • - Any other duties which may be requested by management.

Qualifications

  • Education/ Background/Experience:
  • - A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Equivalent work experience is required for this position.
  • - Good knowledge about measuring instruments, gages and measuring methods.
  • - Preference given for ability to read blueprints, knowledge about Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • - Must have automotive experience with knowledge about IATF 16949 QMS.
  • - Advanced computer skills using Microsoft office applications.
  • - Able to read schematics and follow work instructions as well as make independent judgments based on data collected.
  • - Good math, written and oral skills, and work well with diverse groups of people.
  • - Must have valid driver license in good standing and the ability to travel abroad.
  • - Knowledge of various quality system methodologies 8D, Lean, 5 Why, Pareto analysis, Six Sigma, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, etc,
  • - 3 to 5 years in related field.

  • Environmental Factors:
  • Will be required to work in office and manufacturing settings to collect analyze and report data. Will sit, stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, push pull and twist on occasion. May lift up to 50 pounds on occasion. Some travel maybe required.
